Over 35 years of experience in industry, government and academia. Systems approach to engineering, including the development of plantwide quality programs, new programs for academic environments and project management of capital improvement design programs.

As an engineer,
developed new processes for the manufacture and testing of steel alloys and products.  Pioneered new thermal spray caotings, wire & tubular products, and materials testing methods.  Contributed to the development of nuclear power plant component manufacturing techniques, including pumps, valves, reactor containment materials, and refueling equipment.
Served as project manager for the design phase of over $100 million in capital construction projects.

Designed and developed technical applications software for PC and mainframe environments, including programs for project management, structural engineering and materials testing applications.
Worked as an independent consultant on a wide variety of technical projects, including materials failures, manufacturing systems and facility layouts, statistical process control systems, and materials testing programs. Performed over 500 residential and small commercial building inspections.

Most recently,
as a faculty member and academic administrator in both four and two year colleges, have designed and taught a complete range of engineering and technology courses and curricula for undergraduate students. Planned the development and installation of new computer laboratories and programs.  Worked closely with faculty on the development of CAD laboratories and courses utilizing Autocad software.  Led a successful initial ABET accreditation effort for a new technology program at a four year college. Chaired the facilities master plan steering committee for a major community college, and will lead the newly formed college-wide master plan steering committee.  Worked with faculty on the development of a student "Green Team", promoting environmental and energy saving initiatives.  Supervised a staff of over 140 faculty and support personnel.  Have served as an ABET accreditation representative for Manufacturing Engineering degree programs.
